Green vibes: Blazer dress or what to wear at a wedding

RO: Cand privesti lucrurile din alt unghi, chiar si in fashion, gasesti modalitati noi de a purta hainele sau ajungi chiar sa le oferi un alt rost decat cel trecut pe eticheta. Iata un exemplu, Zara prezinta aceasta haina verde ca o vesta, pentru mine este o rochie sacou.

EN: When you think outside the box, even in fashion, you can discover new ways to wear certain items or you can give different meaning to whats written on a label. Here is one example, Zara is presenting this green thing as a vest, but for me it’s a blazer dress.

RO: In plin sezon de nunti, am cumparat rochia cu gandul la evenimentul la care urma sa particip la finalul lunii. Intodeauna caut o tinuta pe care o pot folosi si la alte ocazii. In plus, din experienta mea o rochie pentru o nunta e bine sa nu fie foarte fixa, asa te bucuri de meniu, fara sa te gandesti la burtica 😛

EN: As wedding seasons is here, I bought the dress thinking of the event that I was going to participate at the end of the month. I always look for something that I can wear to other occasions. Moreover, from my experience a wedding dress should not be tight, so you can enjoy the food without thinking of your belly.

RO: Pentru ca rochita are un verde minunat si puternic, accesoriile le-am ales de-o culoare neutra, am ales un roz pal. Am gasit sandalele la Mercari, apoi am cautat o geanta mica, in aceeasi cromatica, pe FashionDays.com.

EN: Because of the strong green of the blazer dress, accessories needed to be neutral, I thought of light pink. Luckily, I found these simple, pretty sandals in Mercari, so I looked for a a small handbag with similar color. on FashionDays.ro.

Weekend vibes: Red maxi dress, denim jacket and no high heels

RO: Zilele de weekend pentru mine inseamna blugi si incaltaminte fara toc, dar in fiecare an, la inceput de vara imi propun sa port mai multe fuste/rochii si mai putin pantaloni. Asa ca, iata o combinatie pe care o intalniti cu siguranta destul de des prin oras, potrivita si pentru o configuratie mignona, maxi dress cu tenesi.

  ENG: In weekends my go-to clothes are jeans and shoes without high-heels, but each year, when summer is around the corner I set myself on wearing more often skirts/dresses and less pants. That’s why I chose a mix that you will for sure see pretty often on the streets, suitable for a petite silhouette, maxi dress with sneakers.

RO: Totusi, o rochie maxi vine cu anumite provocari pentru o petita, lungimea… solutia pe care am ales-o in acset caz a fost cureaua; nu-mi doresc sa calc pe rochie si sa cad, sa ma impiedic in ea sau chiar sa o rup. Ridici rochia, o fixezi la lungimea potrivita si o prinzi la mijloc cu o curea, simplu. Modelul m-a ajutat, dar solutia se poate aplica aproape la toate modelele de rochii maxi.

  ENG: However, a maxi dress comes with some challenges for a petite, the length … for me the solution was to use a belt, I was not looking forward to step on the dress and falling or getting struck in it. You just set the dress at your desired length and set it around your waist with a belt. The model of the dress helped me, but this solution can be applied to the vast majority of designs.

RO: In final, as vrea sa subliniez inca o data cat de fain va puteti distra combinand culori, sa nu aveti retineri. Eu am ponit de la rosu si albastru (rochia si geaca), adaugand apoi si mai multe culori prin tenesi si geanta. Am fost atenta ca albastrul si rosu sa se regaseasca in restul elementelor din tinuta, iar cureaua neagra este sustinuta cromatic de negrul din tenesi.

BONUS: Inlocuieste tenesii cu o pereche de saboti sau platforme si ai un outfit de seara 🙂

  ENG: And last but not least, I would like to emphasize once again don’t be afraid of colors, play with them. I started from red and blue (dress and jacket), then add more colors with the sneakers and the bag. I was just careful to have blue and red in the other items of the outfit. The black from the belt is chromatically supported by the black in the sneakers.

BONUS: Replace the sneakers with a pair of clogs or platforms and you have an evening outfit 🙂
